WorkEqual is a campaign to raise awareness of workplace gender inequalities and related issues – and develop solutions to address these.

The campaign was established in 2016, and centres around a month of activities and events each November, including Equal Pay Day, the date on which women in Ireland effectively stop earning, relative to men, because of the gender pay gap.

Since its establishment, WorkEqual has gradually built up cross-sectoral support amongst workplaces, politicians, policymakers and civil society in Ireland – and further afield. We are delighted to have Permanent TSB and SOLAS as headline sponsors of the WorkEqual campaign.

This year, due to Ireland’s current pay gap of 14.4%, Equal Pay Day falls on Monday, 9th November 2020. Throughout the month of November, we are also holding a series of panel discussions – ‘The Solutions Series’ – focused on different issues that contribute to gender inequalities at work.
