As 2024 draws to a close, we at WorkEqual want to take a moment to reflect.
This year has been a busy one, and we are thrilled to share some of the highlights that made 2024 so special. Over the past twelve months, we assisted 438 clients with one-to-one career coaching, mentoring, styling, and through our various programmes. Seeing so many individuals grow in confidence and take strides towards their career goals has been a truly rewarding experience for everyone involved.
We also welcomed over 100 new volunteers to the WorkEqual family in 2024. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in expanding our reach and enhancing the quality of support we provide. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and we are immensely grateful for their unwavering commitment to our mission.
This year also brought several exciting events and initiatives. We celebrated International Women’s Day with inspiring activities, one of them being a workshop in Primark’s Arthur Ryan House. We hosted a fun-filled Disco Lunch as part of our annual fundraiser, that brought our community together for some fun. Outside of Dublin, we successfully piloted our national roadshow in Cork and we also ran programmes in Laois/Offaly. One of our standout initiatives was the nationwide programme “Equal Remote Access,” run in partnership with Grow Remote, which supports individuals who identify as having a disability in (re)entering the workplace. We were also proud to work with Uversity and the INOU on programmes that further enhance education and employment pathways for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Looking Ahead to 2025
While we celebrate the progress made this year, we are already gearing up for an even busier 2025. Plans are in place to expand our service by running our roadshow quarterly in Cork and piloting it in a third city, allowing us to reach more women across Ireland. We’re also building large employee-client liaison workshops and managing two intakes of a multi-year programme—initiatives designed to deepen our impact and empower more individuals. Additionally, we will continue to develop our employer community, creating valuable internship and job opportunities for the women we support.
Heartfelt Thanks
None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our community. From donors and volunteers to participants and partners, your contributions make everything we do possible. Thank you for standing with us as we work to create a world where equal opportunity is a reality for everyone.
Season’s Greetings
As we wrap up another amazing year, we want to wish you all a peaceful and joyful Christmas. From everyone here at WorkEqual, Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year! Together, let’s continue to empower progress in 2025 and beyond.
Here’s to another year of creating opportunities and building a brighter future. Bring it on!
