WorkEqual is seeking to hire a Junior Manager of Projects.

WorkEqual equips clients with free resources that lead to success in their job search and for settling into work. This is facilitated by our internal team and delivered by our network of volunteers.

As we actively expand the reach of our services to women in and beyond Dublin, our new Junior Manager of Projects will lead on project planning documentation, scaling evaluation and governance reporting while working with the wider team ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget and on target.

Reporting Relationship 

The Junior Manager of Projects will report to the CEO and be an important part of our team.  

Standard Duties of the Post 

  • Prepare planning documents for all major projects including project overview, critical path timeline, budget vs expenditure monitor and resource planning. Set goals for each stage of a project, identify potential challenges, co-build solutions and devise ways to help each project run more efficiently. Projects can range from roadshow of workshops, to marketing campaign operations and website rebuild management. 
  • Perform risk management assessments to identify possible threats to a project and the broader organisation. Develop risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Prepare Progress and Outcome reports for all external parties toward project/organisation objectives at key points throughout the year. 
  • Manage expenditure documentation to provide to accountant each month and related reporting to donors.
  • Collate and analyse business data to help live refresh our services and increase client engagement duration.
  • Manage monitoring and impact systems for our services, projects and programmes.  Streamline the feedback loop for clients and build a support for alumni.    

Project specifics 

  • Assist the Roadshow team in evaluating the learnings based on results of the pilot, feedback from the volunteer network and clients assisted to date.  
  • Together with the Community Manager and CEO, prepare a scaling plan for our extended reach beyond Dublin using the roadshow model. Map the local resources including volunteers, businesses and community leaders who will support a sustainable service role out to the regions.  This plan will be a skeleton from which to set objectives and timings which are regularly reviewed and assessed versus actual.
  • Together with our Client Coordinator, implement latest GDPR recommendations. 
  • Identify training wishes from volunteer network and build a plan of topics for roll out during 2025. 
  • Together with the CEO, external tech partner and industry launch partner, bring to market a new B2B tool which focuses on workplace equity and co-develop launch plan. 
  • Map out plans for employer community re client work experience. 
  • Foster good working relationships among colleagues and open communication 

Person Specification

  • Proven capability and experience in an office-based role, or a graduate with a relevant third level qualification. 
  • Strong in teamworking, possessing the ability to collaborate with others to achieve a common goal. 
  • Clear communication skills to relay concise information verbally or in writing.  Strong in report writing. 
  • Proven organisational capability and high levels of personal effectiveness accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Solution focused and adaptable to different environments and technologies enabling you to learn and make use of various methodologies. 
  • Strong IT capability, particularly strong in MS Excel, Word & Office 365 skills, and the ability to work efficiently with multiple platforms e.g. Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and ChatGPT. 
  • An active listener with effective interpersonal skills and sound judgment to assist interaction and collaboration with a wide range of individuals. 
  • Self-starter with high motivation and the ability to work flexibly on own initiative or as part of a team, achieving goals within agreed timeframes. 
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise with an ability to be flexible in the approach to work. 

Salary is €35,000, 37.5 hours per week. 20 days annual leave. 

This is a fixed term contract for 1 year initially. The intention is to extend this term thereafter subject to funding.
