September is here which means WorkEqual are hitting the road, and our first stop is Cork. We are delighted to be able to bring our services to Cork City on the 25th of September, where we will help 50 women on their path to employment. Each woman will have the chance to have a 1:1 styling session so they will look and feel good going for their next interview, and a 1:1 career chat about their CV and interview skills.

We wouldn’t be able to make this possible without our volunteers. We are so grateful for the response we’ve received for this event so far, so many wonderful women have offered up their time and expertise to volunteer with us before, after and on the day. Here is a spotlight on three of our stylists, Lynda, Sharon and Donna, who will be at the event.

Meet Lynda Di Blasi, a qualified image consultant in Cork. Lynda is passionate about boosting women’s self confidence through their appearance and clothes. Entering into the work place can be a daunting challenge, one she understands, having gone through it herself after taking some time out. Lynda says she is really looking forward to working with the amazing women attending our event on Wednesday the 25th.

Meet Sharon Huggard, a body confidence and style coach, who believes transformation goes beyond the wardrobe. Sharon is an award-winning stylist and coach with over 15 years of expertise, who seamlessly blends personal style with personal development. Guided by her powerful tagline, “You Are Enough,” and her impactful campaign #getinthepicture, Sharon pioneers a journey that transcends societal standards, particularly the detrimental focus on weight.

With a background enriched by 14 years in the financial services industry, Sharon brings a unique fusion of skills to empower her clients. Her approach involves innovative techniques like life coaching, QTT and NLP. Sharon’s influence extends far beyond the realms of styling. She regularly contributes to local and national press such as RTE Radio One, Newstalk and Virgin Media TV.

Sharon is delighted to be part of the WorkEqual Cork Network as their mission and values are so aligned, empowering women to see their true worth and reach their full potential.

Meet Donna Kelly, a celebrity Hair, Makeup, and Style expert with decades of experience in the U.S., she had the privilege of helping clients craft images that empower them to achieve their goals.

Donna said she is deeply grateful for the warm welcome she has received from the people of Ireland since moving here, which has inspired her to give back by volunteering with Work Equal.

After witnessing Work Equal successfully help people realize their dream of landing a job they are proud of, Donna told us that she is so happy to join the WorkEqual network.

Thanks to the support of Primark/Penneys, Irish Rail, and Intreo as well as our new Cork volunteer network, 50 women will receive 1:1 career mentoring and styling for interview as part of their ongoing pathway to employment on Wednesday the 25th of September at the Imperial Hotel. The free event will run from 9:45am until 2pm and has spaces for 50 women. Anyone interested to request a ticket can sign up though our contact page.
