What’s happening this International Women’s Day

On Wednesday, 8th March we will celebrate International Women’s Day! Of course, in our boutique on Eden Quay, we celebrate women all year round by supporting them to enter and re-enter the workforce through styling consultations, mentoring and career advice.

This week, we’ll be paying tribute to some of the incredible volunteers who provide these important services and empower women to reach their full potential. There’s also a lot going on with our partners and supporters!

Pretty Powerful campaign turns ten!

This year, our long-time supporters Bobbi Brown Cosmetics celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Pretty Powerful Campaign. Originally launched in March 2013, and now a philanthropic project in partnership with WorkEqual, the campaign promotes confidence in women through natural beauty.

Today, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics launches a limited-edition Pretty Powerful make-up and skincare set, in partnership with fashion brand Never Fully Dressed, and 100% of the proceeds in Ireland will be donated to WorkEqual, to support our services.

Our founder embraces equity at Iconic Offices

On Thursday, Iconic Offices host a sold-out panel discussion at The Masonry, moderated by our founder, Sonya Lennon. The theme is #EmbraceEquity, and topics up for discussion include gender equity in the workplace, empowering greater alignment at work, and understanding the challenges around creating an impactful change in our own worlds.

Sonya will be joined by Lianne Kavanagh, CCO at Iconic Offices, Chupi Sweetman, CEO Founder of Chupi, and Hannah Coen, Hypnotherapist, Wellness Life Coach, and co-founder at “The Inside Job”.

Sonya will also be hosting a free online Q&A session with LinkedIn at 10am on Thursday.

Penneys and WorkEqual workshop

We also have a very special event in partnership with Penneys at their Head Office on Friday morning. At this event, staff from WorkEqual and Penneys will run a series of workshops with WorkEqual clients, including image consulting and styling advice, coaching for job interviews, advice on job applications and CV writing, along with social media profile building.

Participants can also get a professional headshot taken to use on their LinkedIn profiles!

We are really excited to be working with Penneys this International Women’s Day. We appreciate all the hard work the Penneys team put into organising this event!

Donate to WorkEqual

For the whole month of March, Iconic Offices will make donating clothes to support WorkEqual clients even easier!

If you want to donate workwear to WorkEqual this month, you can drop off clothing donations at The Wilde, 53 Merrion Square South, Dublin 2 and The Masonry, 151 Thomas Street, Dublin 8 between 10am – 4pm.

As ever, you can also drop off donations direct to us at the WorkEqual boutique on Ellis Quay by emailing info@workequal.ie to arrange a drop-off time.

At the moment, we are urgently looking for clothes in sizes 16-28.

A sincere thanks to the fantastic workplaces who are arranging clothing drives this week, and to those who have already donated beautiful outfits!

Prefer to donate your time?

If you want to donate your time, we have volunteering opportunities in the following areas:

  • Styling: working with clients during styling consultations to prepare an interview outfit and curating workwear wardrobes for clients.
